Good gracious, has it been a while, or what?
That was rhetorical. Of course it’s been a while, it’s been very nearly two whole months since I’ve last written anything here. This is simply unacceptable.
However, it’s not like I haven’t been busy. I’ve done a bit of writing for the campus newspaper, and homework is an ever-present reality here at school. I did a bit of work on the side for a different blog as a part of a class project. So, if you ever want to read what I sound like when I pretend to know about baseball, click here.
There’s even a secret little personal project I’ve done some very light work on, which I will probably never finish, first because it regards Stinky Pete, and secondly it’s tough and depressing to work on and I’ve been in too good of a mood to spoil it.
Another side project that’s been rattling around my brain has been back in my dramatic roots: I landed a role in a webseries! I am involved in a production… troupe, I guess you could call it… run by two very good friends of mine here at school, who have churned out quirky little ideas and producing what (in my very biased opinion, but also my unbiased one) looks to be a really neat series called Seven Soles. In case you’re interested in that (which all the cool kids will be) this is the YouTube channel for all that business.
Also, internship searching (if any potential bosses are reading this, pick me! Pick me! I can write professionally when I need to!), some more schoolwork, the odd Mountain visit, scheduling next semester for more schoolwork later, making housing plans for next year, and a whisper of a social life have all been keeping me away as well.
BUT NOT TODAY.
Actually, looking back on all that I’ve done and am still doing, it’s no wonder my room’s a mess. I feel a little better about that now.
So, when all’s said and done, life’s going well. Finals are coming up, though, so please don’t expect me back for a while.
Not bad for a kid with a medical condition, eh? Now, let’s hope that I can just keep this up for another month or so.
*INITIATE CRUNCH TIME*
As a professional, published writer myself, there is no doubt that you already are a pro at it. My rooms are always a mess… Goes with the territory for us creative types. Hope finals go well.
Thank you! Cleanliness is so boring!
